What is ScamPageFinder?
ScamPageFinder is a free, independent tool designed to help everyday internet users verify the technical legitimacy of any website before entering personal or payment information. The report explains what each signal can and cannot tell you. It does not verify a business, product, or transaction.
Why We Built This
Online fraud costs consumers billions of dollars every year. Most victims could have avoided losses by spending 60 seconds checking a few technical signals — but those checks were scattered across expensive paid tools or required command-line skills.
ScamPageFinder brings together domain age (WHOIS), DNS records, email authentication (SPF & DMARC), web security headers, and selected IP network data into a single free report that anyone can understand. Our Technical Transparency Score (0–100) summarizes the technical posture of any domain at a glance.
What We Check
How old is the domain? Who registered it and through which registrar? A recent registration can be one reason to verify the seller, but domain age alone cannot establish trustworthiness.
We look up A, AAAA, MX, and NS records to understand the infrastructure behind the domain — including hosting provider and mail setup.
We check whether SPF and DMARC records are published. These describe email configuration; their presence or absence does not establish whether a website or seller is trustworthy.
We check for HSTS, Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, and MIME-type sniffing protection — standard headers that security-conscious developers implement.
Important Disclaimer
ScamPageFinder provides technical information only. A high Technical Transparency Score does not guarantee that a website is safe, ethical, or will deliver on its promises. Likewise, a low score does not mean a website is fraudulent — only that its technical posture is weak.
We aggregate publicly available DNS and WHOIS data. We do not access private information, user databases, or internal systems. All data is retrieved on-demand from public sources and is not stored by ScamPageFinder.
ScamPageFinder is not affiliated with any government body, law enforcement agency, or consumer protection authority. Our reports are informational and should be used alongside other verification methods such as independent reviews, social proof, and common sense.
How We Stay Free
ScamPageFinder is free to use with no registration, no paywalls, and no data collection from users. We sustain the service through two revenue streams:
- Google AdSense — contextual display advertising shown alongside reports. You can opt for non-personalised ads via the cookie consent banner.
- Affiliate partnerships — we may earn a commission if you purchase a product we recommend (such as NordVPN). This never influences our technical analysis or scores.
Our technical reports are generated automatically from public data sources. No domain is manually reviewed, promoted, or penalised due to commercial relationships.
